Wedding photos soon. Technical difficulties

I am so pumped to share some wedding photos with you. At the same time I am so bummed that I can't. We are STILL working on the change to the new work stations. Apple so graciously sent us the wrong server software last month. So everything in terms of computers were put on hold...until this past weekend.

Scott made it back over from Cheyenne to finish up on the server upgrade. Lets just say they put in more work this past weekend than ever before. And still today we are having issues with permissions. Ken and Scott are working on getting everything tuned up. I do not want to work on any of the wedding photos from last Saturday as I do not want to "add to the server" so to speak.

We will have some photos up very soon. Its a very frustrating day...

Cake anyone?

As I mentioned before, this weekend was super great. My best friend Matt is in the Wyoming National Guard and has served 1 duty in Iraq so far. So I am truly humbled and greatful for everyone that has served our country. Every Memorial day we spend a few hours driving around looking at the flags and paying tribute. My boys love the flags:

Like I said, Crystal was quite surprised when she walked in and everyone screamed from the top of somewhere very high!:

Cake. Mmmmmm. How many candles are on there?:

The birthday girl!:

Thank you everyone for chipping in and making this weekend spectacular.

Ok, so whats on deck you ask? Baseball for starters. I will be shooting a wedding in Scottsbluff this weekend and I am super excited. We are also gearing up for seniors. Which reminds me, if you want your photos to be awesome, please call 308.436.4422 and ask Jeanne to send out a brochure ASAP!

Memorial Day

I hope amidst the BBQ's, the fishing trips and the family time, I hope everyone takes a moment to remember those who lost their lives fighting for our country. Same goes for everyone that is not with us.

Yesterday we had the best birthday bash yet, including a BBQ and lots of badmitton and hockey. It was Crystal's birthday yesterday and we held a surprise party for her. She had no idea! The coolest thing was her mother came down from Colorado. I should get some photos up tomorrow.

Until then, have a safe and awesome day. Its really cold here today. We planned on doing some gardening but its not going to work :(

Legion Park - 05.17.2008

Even though we are still in the moving process, Ken had several sessions. We are slowly getting things into place and hopefully will be running by the end of the month.

While I was in Grand Island (which rocked by the way!) Ken photographed a fabulous wedding at Legion Park in Gering. The wedding party was getting ready across the street at the Microtel Inn. Then everyone headed over to the park for some relaxed portraits. Check out the one of the little girls getting ready:

This has to be my favorite of the day:

Think the music was a little loud?:

Congratulations to the fabulous couple!

Im back

Hi everyone! Finally made it back from Grand Island and I am ready to rock and roll. Got all emails caught up today and now working on the rest of the workload.

There are so many things to share... baby photos... wedding photos... commercial retirements. I will try to get everything going by the end of the week. For now though, congratulations to this lovely couple on their engagement! Can't wait to work together in September.

Almost done

I can see the light at the end! The construction phase is complete and now its time to start in the the design stations! I would like to say though, the entrance will be outfitted with different furniture lol!!! This is all we have right now and we are trying to get the camera room cleaned out.

Did you happen to see the new hardware?!?!?!? This is going to be a huge change. Two new dual screen stations along with a new room with a window!

I also wanted to let everyone know everything we have photographed for schools will be delivered before school is out. Scottsbluff Elementaries are in the final stages and all of the events have been posted to our online proofing section, including the GHS Musical.

This weekend I will be heading to Grand Island for the best non photography related conference. Anyone in the G.I area want to go for dinner hit me up. Ken has another fantastic wedding in Gering. So next week its back to awesome wedding photos. Thanks for staying with us during the downtime on the blog. I promise things will be picking up next week.

Fighting Crime

During this whole remodeling process we have had a few photo shoots. I was at the park a while ago and was approached by a high school friend to take some photos of him and his dog. Of course I would say yes. Not your typical shoot because he wanted to use the photos for his supporters. We spent about an hour together Saturday morning.

Meet Officer Enlow and his partner Rony. Since I am also a firefighter with the Gering F.D, I am familiar with all of the Gering P.D. Rony joined us a few years ago and is one hell of a dog. A bit smaller than usual, but he is big in heart. There are 3 dogs in our immediate area. Hopefully we will try and get everyone together for a good shot.

In light of what happened this past weekend, I wanted to give regards, respect, and thoughts to every law enforcement person. I truly respect what you guys do and I thank you for your service to your community. There was a shooting at a local motel that involved a long time Gering resident and a law enforcement officer. My thoughts and prayers are with the families that were affected in Saturday's tragic accident.

Hurry up and wait...

The remodelization has came to a crawl. Waiting on the carpenter to finish texture on a small part of the wall, then its back to one more coat of paint on two different walls. Ken, my brother and I are doing the painting and Rich is coming back to finish with the molding.

Technical standpoint: Server having issues. Apple sent the wrong software. What does this all mean? We are still going strong, but just a small delay in getting the new dual screen machines up and running :(.

Note: Dance Company blast email went out last Friday. If you did not receive the email contact me (nate at spectrumphoto dot com) and I will get you taken care of. For those that did not want an email, call to set up an appointment.
