Playing with toys

Yesterday was actually fun. We had a little guy come in for a few photos. He really didnt want to be here and cried most of the time. But, he brought in a ton of toys and props.

It was really fun driving the Tonka truck around the camera room. I even had a blast playing peek-a-boo with an ATV tire (his father owns a tire store). We played with tires, frogs, trucks and boats!

Mom gave him a few cheerio's to coax him to stop crying. He would take a few bites, then give me the look...

A few with his blanket:

Finally, we started playing with the Tonka and he cut loose a bit:

Im exhausted today. I spent the night last night hiking up and down the Monument in the dark, then finished up moving Brandon and family into their new house. Im on my second cup of coffee.

Engagement

Ken photographed a couple last Saturday. Their wedding is this summer and its going to rock! The bride is from here and actually graduated with me. Man I feel so old as of late.

16 weddings on the books so far. I have several Saturdays available in June while Ken is open in July. If you are getting married in June or July, call us and we can talk :).

Another slow week

Literally, this is our last senior for the year:

Other than that, we have just been finishing up on orders. This is probably the slowest month for us. I will post up a few engagement photos tomorrow though :).

And, since is has been slow, my buddy Brandon and I headed to Sidney to my favorite store on the planet and pick me up one of these babies!

I am going to try real hard to learn how to blow a duck call this year. Before this year, I wasnt really thrilled about duck hunting. But a few buddies got me into it and I figured Im going to need a call eventually. My neighbors are probably really excited :).

February 16 wedding

Two days before the wedding the bride and her parents came into the studio wanting to make sure everything was perfect. For about an hour Ken talked with them and eased their butterflies. The wedding was going to go off as planned :).

The only thing that could of been better was the weather. Mother Nature decided she wanted the 16th to be rainy and COLD!!!! The wedding party didnt want to brave the cold, so we made the most of it.

Ken and Kynzie, on location in Scottsbluff. Some getting ready shots. The flowers were still wet and Kynzie told me the little flower girl was a ham:

Ken talked the bride and groom to go outside for a few shots though:

During the ceremony. They filled their lives with sand instead of a unity candle:

And the cake! Who doesnt like cake.

Im up next on March 15; a very intimate wedding at the brides home. Stellar!

Patiently waiting...

Movie update

You might remember my good friend Brandon from this post. Well, last June he moved to Washington and now he is back! They are staying with me until they can find a place to live.

Anyways, we watched The Kingdom last night. Its one of those movies that pumps you up and afterwards sit and talk about it for hours. The middle of the movie was actually rather boring. But the last 30 minutes or so made up for it. I was on the edge... about to scream at the television lol.

The end is so true and so sad at the same time. There is so much propaganda that is handed down over generations that keeps fueling the fire. If the world had a bit more tolerance...

Any other good movies we should check out?

Meet Corey

This kid has a smile that so contagious. Every time I hold him I just want to eat him all up.

Meet Corey, my nephew. My dad brought him in for a few impromptu photos. I was thinking... bad timing because he was just staring at me motionless. Then a few rounds of peek-a-boo he was good to go!

Not much going on

This week was basically catch up from winter sports. Since we are now caught up everything things are slowing down slightly. Its a good time to begin the clean up on the server and upgrade to new software. Our website will be seeing a few new awesome photos as well. Sorry for not keeping up here.

Anyone have exciting plans for the weekend? I just cant wait for the snow to clear and things warm up. Im going to be taking the Mark II out for a little photo shoot this weekend. Check back on Tuesday for a few cool shots :).

Have a great weekend!
