Senior - Mitchell

I promise I will have a wedding up here real soon. Like I said, we have a ton of seniors to work on. Kat has been going like crazy to get the pages out.

Last week this senior knew exactly what he wanted. The session went great.

Senior - Scottsbluff

Ken photographed this and we put some photoshop juice on it.

This senior had some action shots in mind. And we said YES! Thats what we want... to be able to photograph you as you, not your typical say cheese!

Edit: Here is one more from his session. Sorry, should of added that earlier.

Senior - Gering Nebraska

Have a day break from seniors tomorrow. Going to catch up on a few wedding orders.

Ken and I both photographed this session. He shot in the studio and I went outside. This black and white image was processed using becker's split tone. Looks good! By the way, clicking on a photo will enlarge it.

I really like this sequence.

One last one. Had some great light and the white barn doors went great with her dress.

Senior - Gering Nebraska

Here we go again :)

This senior came in and wanted Ken to photograph at the farm. Yes please! We are always ready to go on location and shoot. That way everyone feels more comfortable in their own environment. This is especially good with little kids.

Ken captured a ton of great images. They couldn't believe Ken wanted to photograph in this old shed. It seemed fitting.

Are we ready for a wedding post amidst these seniors?

Senior - Gering Nebraska

Ken has been a busy guy.

There is an awesome spot here in Gering that has some great light and some cool looking rocks. As you can see above the photos turn out oh so sweet. She also wanted some photos during sunset. Sunsets look really good with some water right?

When you mix a pink dress, great sky, cool looking white rocks with a GHS senior you get this:

We have been having problems with our Fuji S5 bodies so all outdoor shots were taken with the Canon Mark II. Today we have 2 seniors, which I will be photographing one outdoors. Then Ken is heading to RWMC for some commercial shoots. Good times.

Senior - Scottsbluff

Here's a senior for you.

The wheat photos look great! Her family has a long line of farmers, and she helps out during harvest. It was a great location for some pretty cool photos.

They had this red barn that Ken took full advantage of. The light was great and the setting was even greater :).

See you all on Tuesday!

Throwing another family out there

The YMCA is good to us.

We have been photographing for the YMCA for some time now. They have a great program for their volunteers, which I highly suggest corporations, business, or whoever use! Every quarter, I believe, they recognize a volunteer that has committed to work hard and put in extra hours for the YMCA and children in our community. Part of their recognition is to offer a family sitting. They get to use a photo for their promo newsletters, and the family receives a free family shoot! Its a win-win situation and we are all about that!

These guys have such a great looking family!

We worked around the golf course. Pretty nice little water area when its hot out!

Up next are some seniors :)

Family session in the midst of Seniors

What a fantastic weekend. It was great seeing old friends and hanging with people I haven't talked to in years. I was a bit disappointed with the food fair though. It seemed like every other booth had the same food. There was no real variety.

Before OT days Ken photographed this family. We have been taking photos for the YMCA for a while now, and they are a huge part of it. Volunteers makes the Scottsbluff YMCA a great place to be a part of. I would suggest anyone to get a membership there. Isn't this gal such a cutie?

More seniors coming up this week so check back often to see some new and great photos.

Senior - Bayard Nebraska

It's an exciting time. We are rocking it with seniors and families. Not to mention Oregon Trail Days is here and its one big food and friends fiesta!

Several people have asked us about using filters while photographing. One person in fact chuckled when he seen a Cokin set ... "Why have filters on a digital camera." Well, its all about what you can do in camera to eliminate any extra processing we need. Both Ken and I always worry about exposure and try to nail it every time (that goes without saying). But any other time you can use something such as a polarizing filter to saturate colors is better. Ken used a polarizing filter on the pool shots to give a deep blue sky and clear water. It really makes a difference.

Have a great and safe weekend everyone! We will be closed tomorrow and be out and about enjoying all of the festivals :)

Senior - Gering Nebraska

It's that time of year and we are just getting started!

We started inside then headed to a local park. She wanted her photos taken with her dog. Man was it a challenge. Afterwards we went to the railroad tracks. Had to wait for a train but we were able to get some good photos.

Oregon Trail Days kicks off tonight with the BBQ. I hope to see everyone around. Our studio will have some loose hours tomorrow; it might be hard to catch someone in particular. However there will be someone here to answer the phones. Everyone be safe!

Senior - Lyman Nebraska

Our studio has zero "yard" for photos and it works for us. There are a few moments when I wouldn't mind having a "yard" to snap a quickie for someone. But then there are moments like this when I am so glad we don't:

Not having our own outdoor studio allows us to travel with our clients to their places. We get to see our clients in their environment and it seems to make everyone a bit more comfortable. Plus, it gives us the freedom to shoot so many different things and always keep it fresh. So, any senior out there that hasn't booked their senior session give us a call and we can go over what you had in mind and the places you would like to go.

On with some photos :)

Ken went to this families farm in Lyman and photographed around some really old and cool buildings. When she was shooting inside I was with mom showing off some photos of the horse. From the sound of it, he is their baby. He is a Dunn and the mom explained the markings to me. Pretty cool stuff!

One last shot inside. Talk about some color!

If you haven't book your Senior Session....

You should, or at least think about it! Our schedule is beginning to look real busy, which is what we want of course. You can usually schedule about two weeks from the time you call.

I think we will start posting several photos from each session instead of doing every senior on Fridays. I want to show of more photos.

Everyone have an awesome 4th of July.
