Nate's wedding - June 23rd - 5 Star Ranch in Lyman Nebraska

While Ken was in Morrill photographing I was out in the country photographing two very special people. If you do not remember their engagement shoot check them out. After the engagement shoot I knew we were going to have a great time at the wedding.

As I said before, the wind was nasty! The 5 Star Ranch is in the middle of nowhere and there was really no good place to photograph inside. So braving the wind was our only option. And the coolest thing was the bride and groom were cool with it. They were so laid back and great to work with.

Check out the location.

And the flowers were so beautiful.

Same for her dress!

This little guy was pretty interested in the camera while he was getting ready.

The groom. The guys had on some very good looking tuxedos.

You will see later in this post why I say watch out for this guy.

So amazing.

The couple chose to see each other before the wedding, which gives us plenty of time to capture some great photos.

One of my many favorites.

There was alot of kissing going on.

Another favorite.

The wind settled down a bit during the ceremony and I had the liberty to shoot where I wanted. Nice! The groom anxiously waiting his bride.

Likewise for her too :)

Time for some vows. Everything was so moving.

And we are married!

Lets partay! And see, not only does this guy show his love for his friend the groom, but he also knows karate and had to bust out some cool dance - karate moves during the party.

And their first dance as husband and wife.

It was such a wonderful day. Two awesome people, great family, a fantastic location, and a day full of love and happiness. That is one great mix.

And speaking of the location. I have added the 5 Star Ranch to our helpful links (to the right) ------------->
If anyone in Western Nebraska wants an outdoor wedding I would highly suggest you check em out.

Ken's wedding - June 23rd - Morrill Nebraska

It was a busy weekend around here. Along with the usual studio stuff we had two great weddings. Ken spent the day with a family/couple that he has been photographing for years.

The wind was howling pretty much all day on Saturday which kept Ken inside for most of the day. Everyone started showing up and were all pretty excited.

Check out the bling the flower girls were wearing.

The bride and groom.

During the vows. Her smile says it all.

And they are off!

Congrats to the happy couple. We should have the initial design of the book ready by next week.

Shot from last Saturday

I was editing photos from last Saturday's weddings and ran across this little gem:

I was pretty excited when shooting this scene. My wedding was at the 5 Star Ranch south of Henry... more to come on that. Ken photographed another wedding in Morrill, still more to come on that.

I will have photos up tomorrow. Have to go shoot the Zephyrs right now.

I had the smoothest session

I haven't seen this family since his 5 week old photos. Boy has this little guy grown! The parents told me his is a little ham, but I had no idea...

I had the hardest time trying to snap him without a smile. And the rule is, if he is posed in husker attire...

... then he must also be in some Cowboy gear.

I don't know if he was just all pictured out or if he didn't like the husker outfit, but he was done. Nah.... it couldn't of been the otufit :).

Returning clients

As I mentioned before, a great portion of our business is returning clients. We have photographed this couple for a very long time. Last year they called us and wanted photos with their little one. They live in Eastern Nebraska and every year they come back for photos. Its so great to see their little daughter getting so big! Not to mention the "other" furry kids :).

Today

Its rather nice outside. I haven't went outside, or even looked for that matter, since we have been slaving away on sports photos. But just a few minutes I took a breather and noticed it was nice. Went outside and heck yea!

Some people might disagree with me; I will leave that all up to you. But I think today is a tad better than a few days ago...photo below:

First senior of the year

Well, the first 2010 senior. We have had several 2009 graduates visit us later than normal. But this is our first one of the "season". Which of course makes us super excited. This is the beginning of a very busy time.

This one is probably my favorite.

We are almost done with GGSA and GOB. Hopefully they will be delivered next week. Wow has it been such a busy week. And it is just the beginning. No wedding for me tomorrow, which is unfortunate. I will be heading to Bayard tomorrow afternoon to observe and participate in Avery's Dog Seminars. Maybe it will do Echo some good.

Engagement - June 9th

Ken photographed this lovely couple in Gering yesterday. It has been very overcast the past few days and the light was really good. They are planning an October wedding and I know its going to be fabulous.

Here is the first photo Ken snapped.

They headed over to some rocks and trees around the park.

Soft light right?

If you know the couple, you can access the rest of their photos by visiting our proofing section. Come back for their wedding in October!

June 6th Wedding - Sidney Nebraska

****Clicking on any photo will enlarge it****

I was really excited going into this wedding last Saturday because I know several people involved. For me, it began almost 3 years ago to the date when I snapped this photo...

Im sure some of the other photos had something to do with it; we got some amazing shots! But this one I think scored points for me. She calls me and said shes getting married! And I said HOLY COW, let the party begin!. You might remember their engagment photos post a while back.

Fast forward 3 years. It was a beautiful day in Sidney and I was ready to go to work. I had to snap the dress, without her in it of course:

Some more details.

The color of the day was pink. I love the black bows on the pink dresses.

Slipping into the dress.

Doesn't she look gorgeous!

Meet the groom...

We had to search for good light; high noon at the Methodist is rather tough.

This little sweetie is Todd and Nicole's daughter. She wasn't digging me much as hard as I tried.

And the rest of the little ones were a bit nervous walking down the isle I think.

I love the look on her father's face. So determined!

The ladies at the park all pretty in pink!

The wedding party took a haystack ride after the ceremony to unwind and cool off with some nice refreshments.

We made it to the Fairgrounds. The family decorated beautifully and the food was fantastic!

The toasts were also fantastic. The brides younger brother had a tough time, but made a lovely speech.

Their first dance as husband and wife.

And finally, the little on in the front was so ready to catch that garter. He wanted so much he even got in on the bouquet toss. That was until the girls told him "Its for girls only!"

It was an awesome day! The drive home was full of lighting and pouring rain, I guess thats better than being bored driving. I will definitely be seeing everyone again in August as I am photographing another awesome couple that was in the wedding party. Stay tuned for that!
