One week left

... until the new website with fresh new & larger photos.

A different photo shoot

The GFD received a new truck and I just had to take some photos for the wall. Taken around sunset. I wanted to show off the command light that beds on the top between two dunnage areas. Its actually pretty sweet.

The truck has been put into service. It is the new rescue replaces an outdated 99.

WE HAVE A BIRTHDAY TOMORROW!

If you can, flood Ken's email with birthday wishes! designteam@spectrumphoto.biz. Do it!

Wedding: August 23

Actually, Ken did have a intimate wedding this past weekend. He photographed in the bride's parents back yard. It was a very intimate and beautiful background for a great couple. They met each other while serving in the military! Congratulations to the bride and groom.

Recent engagement

This couple plans on getting married in January 2009. He is a farmer and usually, winter is the off season. I know the future brides parents pretty well and after talking with the couple for a few minutes, we chose a really cool location. I have never photographed a couple here. After taking them out, I will be photographing here again for sure!

We started on the dirt road along the corn field, then headed into the field (clicking on a photo will enlarge it):

After that we found a cool bridge along a small slew.

We headed further into the mess of trees and bushes. I figure that the mosquitos haven't seen fresh humans for a long time and thats why we were attacked. The bugs were insane.

No worries though, we were able to get some awesome photos. They were troopers:

I cant wait until January.

Calvary Memorial - August 16

Part 2 of our Super Saturday Wedding Day! I spent the day with a couple and their family and friends. When I arrived I noticed there was a few hiccups during the day. But nothing that would totally ruin the day. Everyone got through and their families watched as this couple expressed their love to each other.

The bouquets were awesome!

Same with the rings...

The bride and groom. It was a gloomy day with some beautiful light:

The ladies:

Walking down the isle:

Afterwards the sun came out and we had some sweet light. Perfect time to snap a few of the two that really stole the show:

We headed up to the brides grandparents home for a few more shots. The light was fading fast and we caught some sunsets:

Probably my favorite of the day:

The parents during a very moving and tearful toast by the maid of honor:

And finally, I have never seen as good as form as this bride when feeding cake. Look at that pull away while slamming it in his face:

We have no weddings this weekend which is kind of nice. I need to get some house work done.

Check out this little cutie

She came in for some photos. Once again, this family has seen us through the years. We have some of the best clients. And we totally appreciate it!

August 16 - Scottsbluff

Another great day, another great wedding post. Ken spent the day with another family that has been clients of ours for years. From graduation to family photos we have captured most of their biggest accomplishments.

The couple married at St. Johns in Scottsbluff. Afterwards Ken took them to the greens to shoot a few. How about it for the awesome couple:

St. Johns is somewhat small. It also has these huge organ pipes in the background:

Walking out as husband and wife. One of my favorite times to push that shutter button:

It was cold outside, which is rather bizarre for Western Nebraska in August. Everyone held up ok though:

How about some cake!

First dance as husband and wife:

You know what makes a great wedding gift for couples? Gift Certificates from Spectrum. You can add any amount to the couple's account which they can use for their wedding photos! This couple mentioned that to their guests and they have had major response.

Seniors from last week

Once again, clicking on any photo will enlarge it.

I was out of the office on Friday, looking at all of the cool "big toys" the fire service is offering. A group of us went to Denver for a FRI convention. It was awesome.

Both Ken and I had weddings on Saturday. Both were local weddings and both were again awesome. Im editing them today and should have some exciting, fresh and fun photos up tomorrow.

Get excited. Spectrum has some great online changes coming soon! It will improve our customer area plus photos will not stay stagnant. I think the coolest thing is we will be showing bigger, badder photos!

August 9th Wedding

Double posting today, might even triple post. Just an FYI, I will be out of the office tomorrow. I have a conference to attend in Denver. We should have all seniors posted by next Tuesday.

Just a few photos to share from last Saturdays wedding. We started off at the park then headed to a lake for a few fun photos. It was so hot. I felt bad for everyone all dressed up sweating in places they didn't know they could. After the lake we headed back to the church for some family photos. It was actually my first time at the new Grace Chapel.

Check out the rings and flowers...

... and the couple.

I have known them for quite some time now. We have talked through their engagement session as well as potential wedding ideas. Both of them are pretty cool peeps. Congrats to C & C!

08.08.08 - Another great wedding day

Ken took a road trip to Cheyenne to photograph this couples amazing wedding day. Apparently, the wedding party was up for pretty much anything. The bride and groom were very relaxed and both love baseball so they incorporated bats into the wedding.

Shall we get ready?

It started pouring around the time the bride was going to get dressed. Unfortunately we had to go out in that stuff!

The rain finally broke and we finished some photos outside

Dont ask LOL!

The bride and groom serve our country and she had to lace up and get ready for the ceremony.

The ceremony:

Its always fun to have a bunch of woman wanting to play in water:

The bride and groom. The location was absolutely beautiful!

The last dance.

Blogger is being kind of difficult. Im trying to post photos but get connection errors. Thats why it took so long to post these photos. I will try to get more wedding photos today.
