Huge technical issues

Sorry folks, we are having issues with our computers that is over our heads. Scott, our tech guy and Ken's good friend, will probably have to take care of it.

Everyone have a great Easter! Once our machines are solid I will post up some photos of our Easter weekend!

Announcements

We are hard at work designing a ton of new graduation announcements. If you haven't made an appointment... well, what the heck are you waiting for? We offered graduation announcements free in our pre-pay specials. If you are not sure if you get some free announcements give Jeanne a call at 436.4422 to find out.

Ken is in Vegas this week! He is checking out all of the new tools at WPPI. The studio will go through a major change in the coming months and Ken is doing some recon to make it as smooth as possible.

Speaking of which, what are everyone's thoughts on Aperature?

Such a great morning!

I (Nate) was invited to a very intimate wedding in Scottsbluff. With family and close friends around the bride and groom tied the knot! The wedding was at the brides parents home, which was lovely by the way. The ceremony took place in the living room that had southern facing windows. The light was amazing in that room. Other than chairs, there was this huge black grand piano.

It rained and snowed and was horribly cold yesterday. It was getting warmer today, but not warm enough to head outside around the neighborhood. We did walk out the front door and snapped a few.

Some details (again, clicking on any photo will enlarge it).

If you look real close you can see the inside of his ring was engraved. Engraving always brings a "specialness" to things :).

The Groom:

Beginning of the ceremony. The brides brother did an amazing job on the piano. And the moment the bride entered the groom had a huge smile. Butterflies anyone?

The bride:

Isn't the light AMAZING?!?!?

The happy couple:

Its off to the reception for them. Congratulations guys! And a big thank you for inviting me. Im taking it easy the rest of the weekend. My friend and his lady are coming down from Chadron for the evening and we are just going to hang out.

Jelly Beans!

Ken took a quick trip to Denver yesterday to sit in on the Ed Pierce Captivated by the Light seminar. I was planning to go as well, but earlier this week my grandfather entered the hospital. Ken said the seminar had some good information, just not as personal as he expected.

He also brought back some gourmet jelly beans. We had to test all of them!

From Kiwi to Buttered Popcorn, there is like 20 different flavors. Some are off the wall. Here is Kats reaction after taking a bite of Baja Margarita!

So far, Spicy Cinnamon and Perfectly Pear is our favorite. Popcorn isn't suppose to be in a soft, chewy form. I think its kinda weird. But the most off the wall flavor so far is the Baja Margarita. I would not recommend it to anyone!

Happy Friday everyone! Im super pumped about my intimate wedding tomorrow. It will be my first wedding with the new 1.8 lens. Ill get some photos up asap.

Mark and the crew

Thank you for visiting the studio. See, we have been taking photographs for area schools for a while now. A huge part of the "contract" is customer service and going the extra mile. Even though its business, we work with our schools on a personal level. Not only does it show in our photos and contacting us, but we also take the time to talk and teach the students about the whole photographic process. Several classes have visited to chill and learn about us and our process. Hopefully they retain some of the information :).

Another slow week. We are going through tons of things we shot this weekend. I have my first 2008 wedding this Saturday and I am super stoked. Its a small, intimate wedding at the brides parents home. I always get excited when couples invite us into their personal setting to photograph their wedding. Even though we will be there for a few hours, its going to rock.

Seniors: Announcement reminder

Its about that time to get started on your custom announcements. Most of our seniors used our pre-pay special that includes custom announcements free. Or, if you want to do your own give me a call.

I have received information from area schools and I am ready to begin the design process :). Here is how it works:
- Pick out your favorite photos
- Call the studio at 308.436.4422 to set an appointment
- Bring in your photos and hang with Nate for about 30 minutes.

Its that easy! All of our announcements come with envelopes. Everything is designed for your... totally custom!

If you forgot or you haven't made your appointment yet give us a call.

Another engagement session

Last Saturday Ken took the morning off to hang with the below couple. During an engagement sitting, or when a bride and groom book with us, we spend ample time getting to know each other.

This is part of our approach to wedding photography. The more relaxed we are with each other, the better your photos will be. Not only are you adding a photographer to your team, but a photographer and company that wants to know your ideas and wants to know about you as a person. Why would anyone not do this?

Anyways, Ken and this fantastic couple came in and hung out. We snapped a few inside the studio then went to Northfield Park for a few.

We are stoked for wedding season this year. I have met some really cool couples and cant wait to share the wedding day with them. So far June is the most popular month with September coming in a huge second. And our schedule takes us to Sidney, Alliance, Chadron, Cheyenne Wyoming and Estes Park Colorado. Im super excited.

-Nate, out.

Spring fever!

Around this time I am actually getting sick of winter. Can you believe that!?!?!? A few days last week we had some killer weather. It reached 72 degrees on Friday? The Sunday came around and it was snowing and horrible.

Saturday a buddy of mine wanted a field burned. So a few of us got together around 2 and stripped some of field. The wind died down and we were able to get about 50 acres burnt. Afterwards I went home and spent the afternoon with my boys in the backyard. Adam was so pumped he could wear shorts again!

The light was gorgeous Saturday:

The Sam. She is looking so old in this photo:

The boys decided to race trucks. Not sure who won, but I didnt have the heart to tell Carter he was driving his Tonka backwards. Besides, he would deny it and let me know how wrong I am. 3 year olds are always right you know...

Back to crappy weather. The wind is blowing and its staying in the 40s.
