2nd post in January!

Man, we are such slackers! Well, not really. I have been really busy here at the studio and related at home projects. I swear I haven't totally neglected the blog, just in a slow slump right now!

We have a few things to share which I will be working on in the coming days. This photo was from a Christmas Family session we did shortly after Christmas.

December 26th, 2009.

Happy New Year everyone! I really hope everyone had a fun and exciting way to bring in 2010. All of us at Spectrum did different things, but we shared it with family and friends which is so special! And I apologize for not being around this blog the past few weeks. We busted our butts and got everything done in time for Christmas and I took several days off during the week. So this blog really looked empty.

2010 marks our 30th year in business! We will start the year off right so stay tuned ;). But for now I wanted to share a wedding I was invited to capture the day after Christmas, 2009. It was very cold. Let me repeat.... VERY COLD, which forced us to limit shooting indoors. No problem...

The bride got ready downstairs with her sister (which was also her maid of honor) and her mother and of course me. Afterwards we gave the bride and groom a few minutes at the altar.

I had to move in for a few photos though...

The bride had several different ideas for photos, and we used the church the best we could. I found some great light. Which image do you like? Smile or no smile?

I prefer this one..

And the best man had the groom laughing for me, which makes for a real moment.

Moving to the ceremony, I think the father of the bride was a bit nervous and I love this moment of comfort... probably for both of them.

And we are married.

The reception was at the Scottsbluff Country Club and was beautifully decorated. Actually, thats an understatement. The reception, as well as the church, made me feel invited, joy, comfort, and the room filled with love. Serious, nothing beats hanging out next to a warm fireplace with good music, good food, and amazing people.

It was an amazing day and I was again thankful for being able to be a part of it. So thankful.
