fun shoot

We did a shoot a few years ago fore the sole purpose of the final print. Well, our customer came back with another idea for the shoot. Here is the original straight from the camera image:

The first shoot we did was for his daughter and focused on an old school bike, you know, the one with the large front wheel and small back wheel. The bike and outfit is hanging on the wall with the print of his daughter. This time he was able to find authentic an original football outfit on ebay. This stuff will now go on the wall with this print:

Totally cool! We are thankful he came back for this shoot because we create some custom textures to fit this photo. Plus I had an awesome time working on something like this.

Merry Christmas everyone! From our families to your, we wish you the very best and cannot thank you enough for supporting us through this year! Lets make the next year even better!

Not sure if I blogged about this family yet; Ken had an awesome time taking their photos and everyone were troopers.

It's crunch time at the studio and I have been working on everything for Christmas. As a reminder, we will be open Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. And I think we are staying on top of things that you can place your last minute order on Tuesday and we can have it ready on Wednesday. You know... for all of you last minute shoppers :).

Senior - Gering Nebraska

Lets hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I know we had. I spent majority of the past two weeks taking people hunting, which is technically my second job. I really do not consider it a job because I have the amazing privilege meet very good people. The Lancasters from Maryland visited us last week and had the best time!

Anyways, you guys do not come here for waterfowl stories...

You might remember her outdoor shoot earlier this year.

I have totally neglected this blog the past few weeks as I have not been in the office much the past few weeks. Im rectifying that this week.

Children - Scottsbluff

Talk about Stagnant. We have been busy here in the studio. Plus I have been out the past week working in the great outdoors. Let's get back on schedule.

Just 2 to share from this sitting. I have to go through several sittings and grab a few from each. Can you believe we are still photographing seniors this time of year?

Dubbin' up on Seniors again

Two seniors from different schools. Ken was able to snap a few outdoors before all of that snow last week. We are trying to keep up on deadlines. So please, any senior that has NOT given us their yearbook photo, call 308.436.4422 and let Jeanne know which photo you want to use.

Seniors

Finally, we are back to full strength. Kat and I both were sick the past few weeks which slows everything down. I have tons to share with you and I decided to showcase two seniors in each post a few times to get caught back up.

I can't believe it is November. On top of that, I cannot believe we are photographing seniors in November. Several graduates have decided to do their later. The colors look amazing in the fall, as long as we do not get hammered with cold weather.

October 10, 2009 - Bayard Nebraska

While I was in Scottsbluff, Ken had the honor to photograph a very special wedding at the Greek Orthodox Church in Bayard. We have photographed the bride's cousin's wedding a few years ago at the same church. Since then they have remodeled and it looks pretty sweet!

The bride and her ladies got ready at a house next to the church, while the guys were at a different location.

The flower girl was so interested in the bride getting her makeup done.

Gotta get these two together.

Tony went with the guys and had a little fun after everyone was all dressed up.

Nice.

Double nice

The nicest!

Ken stayed inside with the ladies. Man it was cold outside.

It was a Greek wedding., which is find totally awesome.

They had the reception in Bridgeport and the place was decked out.

During the reception, per tradition, there was several favours all over the place, even on the cake table.

Did I mention it was a Greek wedding?

First dance as husband and wife.

Another wedding this weekend. This one is super special as it is my cousin. Im so stoked to see all of the family. PLUS, it's a Halloween wedding. From what I am told we are to wear our favorite costumes. Im heading back to the 70's so be sure to check back next week.

Scottsbluff Wedding

So please, click on the photos to enlarge them.

I spent the day with two very awesome people and many of their very awesome family and friends October 10th. I have known almost everyone in the wedding party for years. It's a small area and pretty much everyone went to school together. I was so pumped when they hired us last year and I couldn't wait for the wedding and to get some sweet images.

The bride and groom are some of the most laid back people I know. You can tell how true and full of love their relationship is just by the way they talk with each other. The maid of honor said it best during her toast, that the bride hasn't changed and groom hasn't tried to change her. They are true to each other.

And man was it a party! Everything went smooth except for the damn snow!

When I showed up everyone was pretty much ready to go.

I felt so good about the images when all of the ladies braved the 30 degree temps for photos. The light was great along this hallway.

So was the bride:

Together:

Check em out rocking it!

The party started early. The guys snuffed out the drinks from the brides father's truck.

So this sequence will be a story to remember. Can you spot the cone?

Plus, this goes to show I prefer to shoot, then ask later. Kind of my philosophy :). We were in the street while a police officer happen to stop by. He wanted to pick up the cone, but also let us know it was a safety hazard to be in the street. Bummer.

Fast forward. You could literally feel how her father was feeling walking down the isle.

Talk about a big rock. The mother of the bride was the priest at the church. So she had a special sermon to the bride and groom and incorporated the rings. It was so true and touching.

And were married!

We made a quick stop at Monument Shadows DURING the snow. But they made for some great images.

They had bobble heads for their cake topper. Nice!

They also had a live band. In fact, it was one of the groomsman's band.

Their first dance as husband and wife.

Such an awesome day. Im so thankful I was able to captured their wedding day. Congrats guys!
