July 3, 2010 - Ogallala Nebraska

Public Service Announcement: Click a photo to enlarge it! Back to the wedding story...

Drive 11 miles into the country and you will find this...

... which is a sweet backdrop for an awesome wedding. Ogallala is roughly 2 1/2 hours away, and I had to whip out my Google Maps on the DROID to find. But once I got there I knew it was going to be sweet. Everyone started showing up and I had to grab the dress:

And check out the bling:

The only cool place (since it was scorching outside) was the basement, which is where everyone got ready.

We walked across the road to this yard to snap some shots. Amazing.

Check out the ladies:

Remember their engagement photos?

I couldn't get enough of this wheat field across from the church:

Lets move onto the ceremony. The church was so small I had to shoot from the front. I didnt want to be in the way, so I shot fast and moved the heck outta the road. I wasnt aware they were both tearing up. Talk about a real moment and totally priceless:

And we are married!

They drove this sweet T Bird to town:

Then we were picked up by this huge bus that had tons of awesome people on it:

Since the reception was North, we drove past Big Mac and had to stop shoot some more:

We ended up along this cliff that looked over the water. Such a cool spot.

"What? You want them to throw me? Lets do it":

Now I had to bust out my mad sequence skills. Actually, I just turned my Canon Mark II to 10 frames a second :). Even if you don't, you need to click the photo below to make it larger.

The reception was held at Haythorn Ranch. I was blown away by everything there:

And the cake tasted just as good as it looked:

Maid of honor and best man made some awesome toasts!

I snapped this little guy during a brief slideshow:

And the first dance as husband and wife:

Seriously Ogallala peeps, email us if you are getting married and are in need of a cool guy with a camera :). Oh and if you haven't yet, check us out on facebook. And congrats to the newlyweds and thank you for allowing me to come out and spend the day with you two.
