Chimney Rock

Nebraska is filled with all kinds of distinctive rock formations. Western Nebraska alone has about 15. The people that migrated west via the Oregon Trail followed most of the North Platte River. And along this route is Chimney Rock, which is also along the route to Sidney.

I was a bit late to catch the sunset over the rock, but I did capture this image:

This is probably one of the most photographed "rock" in Western Nebraska. Its pretty cool at night because it is lit up from in-ground lights. If I can, I will post some other famous "rocks" from Western Nebraska.
