St. Agnes, Scottsbluff Nebraska

While Ken was at Centennial Park, I was working with an awesome couple just a few blocks away. We started around 11 and it was already like, 98 degrees. I love photographing at St. Agnes because the church is huge, has several great outdoor locations, and the light in the front of the church is sooo good! Clicking on any photo will enlarge it by the way...

You might remember this couple from their engagement photo shoot back in April. If you do not know this, all of our wedding packages includes a free engagement session. We do this because we want to build a relationship with the couple. This gives us and the couple a chance to work with each other before the big day. We get a chance to show off our style and see how the couple react with each other. Its always good business.

Anyways, I knew from the engagement session that we were going to have a great wedding. I'll be honest, I haven't seen that much kissing for a while. The couple was so into each other.

Some details:

The first look. There was so much anticipation in the air. The bride came up and grabbed the grooms hands:

The flowers were colorful:

We snapped a few in the front of the church:

Then the couple headed to the altar. I stayed back and snapped a few. It was so natural:

The bride told me how much she loved the stain glass window on the balcony. I had to incorporate that somehow...

The ladies:

It's official!

The groom's family has a long tradition in their family that is very touching. I believe it started with his great, great grandmother. This cup was brought over from Europe and and was made from love. The person that made it designed it so that two people can drink from it at the same time without loosing a drop! And if they didn't spill it was true love. And just an FYI, the bride and groom didn't spill!

The first dance as husband and wife:

The couple is off to Jamaica for an extended honeymoon. It was awesome to share their wedding day. I am very blessed to be able to spend time with people during one of their most important days! Im so pumped for next Saturday!

July 5th at Centennial Park

Ken photographed a couple that renewed their wedding vows. They have been together for over 15 years which is awesome! Saturday was super hot and humid and aside from the 100 degree temps, everything went as perfect as could be. With their family and friends around, the proclaimed their love for each other again.

Their family helped them pour sand into the vase. It was a very special moment:

The couple off to the reception:

While Ken was at the park, I (Nate) was at St. Agnes just a few blocks away. Im still working on editing photos and should have some photos up tomorrow. It was a great weekend for two fabulous weddings!

A fun day at the park

One of our clients brought their granddaughter in for some photos. They live in Germany but were back home for a while. We were able to get some great photos even though she was a bit shy as you can see in the first photo:

I believe her bears name was Lucy. I tried to get them to dance, but she was sticking to her guns:

We headed to the park for some fun. We found a few flowers that had some great color to them:

But after seeing the swing she was done:

Everyone have a safe and fun 4th of July. The studio will be closed so we can celebrate as well!

June 28 Wedding: Sidney Nebraska

Wow is all I can say. Ken photographed this wedding and I helped out Aaron since I was unexpectedly free (long story). My first impression when I walked into the church was OMG! the light! Holy Trinity had some of the most beautiful light in the front of the church. Ken took advantage and was able to capture some stunning images.

Everything went perfect. A cool 90 degrees, the wedding party was great to work with. Family and friends were so happy and the bride and groom were amazing. There were balloons everywhere for the exit and the decor was perfect. In fact, I have a favorite new cake! All future brides need to call Sue's Hallmark in Sidney (at (308) 254-2793) and ask about their cakes.

Onto some photos shall we:

The bride had a personal message on this heart:

The ceremony:

The crazy wedding party. We stopped at the park for a few photos and some video fun. They had a horse drawn carriage and it was my first time riding in one of those things. Im sure the video will be everywhere lol!:

Check out the groom's cake:

Finally, the first dance as husband and wife:

Slow photo week

Its been a while since I have updated the blog. This week is a very slow "picture taking" week. The whole team is SWAMPED with baseball/softball photos. Baseball went out yesterday, softball will be going out in the next day or so. Check with coaches for your photos.

I went to Bayard last weekend for my family reunion. We had a total of 102 people show up. The only two that couldn't make it was my cousins Kerry and her family and my cousin Jason and his wife (Kerry is in Minnesota and Jason is gearing up for another deployment to Iraq). It was a blast and huge success in part to my mother's siblings :).

Here is a shot at my grandparents whom I love so dearly. They have been married for over 60 years.

Ken is photographing a wedding in Sidney this weekend. I am heading to the same wedding with Aaron to assist with his video needs. Its going to be a blast.

Seniors!

If you recall last year we did the Seniors of the week every Friday because of the amount of seniors we photograph every week. Im thinking we might do a few things different this year. I want to show off several photos from each session. That way our clients can get a chance to see their photos (not to mention to show them off to the rest of the world). Not sure how it is going to work, so stay tuned through the summer.

We have already photographed 3 seniors! Im going to start off how we ended last summer. Instead of having you wait until Friday I can throw a few up today!

We are in the process of relaunching our proofing section. The old system will be phased out and the new and improved proofing section will be hotter than ever! If you have issues and cannot find your online gallery please contact us right away and I can get you squared away.

06.07.08 - Another great wedding dates!

Aside from 08.08.08, this is another date we had several brides calling about. I had a previous engagement, but Ken was available and spent a wonderful day with this lovely couple. You might remember their engagement photo from February. And speaking of which I know the bride personally; we went to high school together and graduated in 97. By how the time flies! And YES!, my first blog post from the new Mac's. I promise to get some photos up of our new stations.

They were married on St. John's in Scottsbluff. Ken made a point to let me know what I was missing. He got some great shots. Check out the back of the dress (again, clicking will enlarge):

And the bride...

The groom during the ceremony. I like the cheese the best man has on his face!

The bride and groom together with the wedding party. Everyone took a few minutes before the reception and headed to a hot spot Ken has.

They had a great slideshow to look back on their lives. The guests enjoyed it as much as the bride and groom.

The sun setting on the Country Club was just amazing. The couple spent a few minutes with Ken to grab a few shots.

It was a perfect way to end the day. Congratulations to the couple. We should have the initial design of the book ready soon.
