Forgot to post photos

During my escapades and negligence of this blog, I forgot to add a few photos from past sittings. And how could I not post these photos!

These awesome guys are currently living in Lincoln going through school. They came down last year and spent a few hours with us. Im pretty excited about the wedding this summer.
One of my favs:

Wait, another favorite:

We spent some time along Gering's Main Street, then headed right out of town next to the Monument.

They wanted to try a few different things. Which is kind of up my alley ;).

Had a really great time and looking forward to the wedding. These guys look so awesome together and I know we will capture some impressive images :).

Side note guys: Give us a call and book your Easter Session for April 9th or April 16th. Only a few slots left! I want to photograph your kids :)308.436.4422

Senior on Friday!

TGIF! We have been seeing a trend the past few years. More and more Graduates are having their Senior photos taken later in the year. Awesome for you guys, because we get to share more seniors in March :).

The bummer part though is the weather has been unpredictable. And when this senior was photographed it was cold and dark.

And another positive from neglecting this blog. I have several photos in queue that I didn't share. Next week we will post them.

Easter Mini Sessions

So sorry for neglecting this blog. We have had so many other things going on, plus deciding which way we want to go with our online presence. But I promise you, this blog will go on and be updated regularly :).

In fact, we will be offering fast, fun Easter Sessions starting April 9th and April 16th. Designed for people wanting fun photos of the little ones with special props or outfits for Easter. Sessions will last about 20 minutes and you will receive some cool stuff! See, I have always had my reservations about sessions like this. Not that it works, because so many people are good at it. I think this type of photography is out of element. I wouldn't feel comfortable meeting someone and bam, bam, bam! Shoot is over. We always try to spend time with our clients before the session to get to know them and their style. Offering quick sessions does not give us that ability.

But so many people asked. And, well, Im game to always go out of my element. Its going to be fun! I really excited! Click the photo above, or give us a call at 308.436.4422 for more information and to book your time. They are filling up so fast!

Update - Miss America!

I promise you we did not fall off the face of the Earth. We have been totally slacking on updating everything online. Hopefully in the next few weeks we will have the website updated, as well as a few new things to go along with our online presence.

Today though, we too must throw out a few props. As America knows, Miss Nebraska Teresa Scanlan won Miss America last weekend. She is the first from Nebraska to win Miss America, as well as the youngest contestant to take that top honor. And to top it all off, she lives right here in our home town! A huge congratulations to her, her supporters and her family!

We were fortunate enough to have photographer her when she was a Senior last year.

These were taken last year. Actually we photographed several different pageant contestants in 2009, and were able to accommodate with head shots, crown photos, and several other requests.

But this is just too cool. The values and beliefs of Miss America speaks Gering, Nebraska. And we are so proud to have her represent America and be a role model for aspiring young people to do their part in making this country awesome. Keep it real Teresa!

Here are some kids for ya

A mutual friend hooked us up. I can't express enough thanks for our wonderful clients & friends. Word of mouth is always the best business and majority of our business is returning client. I was lucky enough to spend an hour or so with these three. The kids really love trains so we drove down to a little place and snapped some photos.

They also like making a ton of faces.

And of course we had to get some with mom :)

October 2, 2010 Wedding

Oh where do I begin! By far, the most images captured at a wedding to date. Both Ken and I tag teamed the whole day and was able to capture some very unique images. We started at 8 a.m. golfing and chilling at the hair stylist.

Remember their engagement session?

The ceremony was at St. Agnes in Scottsbluff, which has some very soft light in the main entrance. The ladies were getting ready downstairs while the guys showed up dress ready to rock.

Lets show off some details of this spectacular day!

Just hanging out around the foyer. Awesome capture.

They chose not to see each other before the wedding. So the guys hung out outside while we worked with the bride inside.

Then switched it up. Smoking!

Such a beautiful bride.

Ceremony time. When the bride and her father opened the doors and started walking down the isle....

... the groom was nothing but smiles.

Love the emotion when the father was giving his little girl away.

Oh, and these moments also rock my world.

After the ceremony we stayed at the church for some portraits.

Love the soft light.

And the sweet little garden just north of the church.

We also had to go to another sweet spot for some wedding party fun... cigars and drinks included

NICE!

Ken caught the cutting of the cake with our new 7D at 6400 ISO. I am blown away.

Another special moment during the father daughter dance.

And finally, their first dance...

So Im editing last Saturdays wedding....

...and I can across this.

The wedding was held at St. Agnes Catholic Church. The sister that was a huge part of the bride and groom's life showed up and blessed the bride.

Very special moment.
