August 8th - Sidney Nebraska

Saturday I spent all day in Sidney. Got there around 11:30 and met with a now future bride. We met at the park and talked about their day and some ideas they had in mind. It was a great meeting and great to meet them. But, this post is about what happened later in the day.

Got to the church about 12:30 to scope things out and look for some locations to photograph. The couple were married at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. That place has some very awesome windows and made for some exceptional light around the foyer. It was an old church that was recently remodeled. The outside made for great photos because of the old school large brick. We have been to this location before and I was pretty excited to finally photograph there. But, this post is not about the church.

This post is about two people that care about each other. It's about a day where their lives come together through their vows and love for each. A day shared with their friends and family. It's their August 8th.

Lets show off some rings with a dress right?

I believe the brides sister did the flowers which everyone raved looked fantastic!

But everyone eventually raved about the bride and groom :)

Such a natural smile.

A favorite.

I felt like I should leave them alone for a minute or so. Like I was interrupting something being there...

The wedding party!

I had an idea which had the guys picking up the couch. We were game, but we didn't have the game face :)

Onto the wedding. The Nate Dogg was really into his moment walking down the isle.

Guess where we went after the wedding?

The couple rode the reception in a sweet Chevelle. The bride's father owned the car and it is so taken care of. Everything is original, including the tires from the factory. So cool!

This guy here really got into the shuffle. But the minute I brought up the camera he had to bring out his cowboy pose again.

First dance as husband and wife.

August 8th - Lusk Wyoming

Ken photographed this super smooth wedding last Saturday in Wyoming. I called him Sunday asking how it went because we had a nasty rain storm later in the evening. It poured when I left Sidney and I was only hoping his went good because it was outdoor. He told me, as I said in the first sentence, everything went smooth. And it looks so too :)

The radiant bride. She was anticipating the "first look"...

... which I think went great dont you?

At the park:

The ladies:

I love the sincerity on the grooms face during the ceremony.

Afterwards they rode an old horse drawn carriage to the reception.

Cheers to the bride and groom!

The cake was exploding with color and beautifully done.

The first dance as husband and wife, which kicked off the party.

Congratulations! The rest of the photos will come shortly. Im excited to begin the design process of the book.

July 25th Wedding - Alliance Nebraska

First off, clicking on a photo will enlarge it. I know, it sucks to click. But do it, you have to see the larger photos.

Sorry for double posting. I finally have some wedding photos ready and couldn't wait until tomorrow. I wanna get the initial album design out this week too! I need to throw on my headphones, put on some jams, and get design on!

Saturday started out hot. It was about 20 degrees different in the shade, so most of the time we spent under trees and anywhere we could keep cool. The bride and groom wanted to start at the local park, then head to the golf course for more photos and to say the vows. They were married on the actual golf course, on hole 6 I think. They thought about their guest so much... they set the time for the wedding at the exact moment the entire wedding area would be covered in shade by a local water tower. It was pretty cool.

Lets start this ride off with a little wedding mojo shall we?

They had each bridesmaid in a different color dress. And the groomsmen's vest and tie matched their respective lady. Pretty cool.

When it was time to get my camera finger going, everyone was already dressed and ready to rock at the park.

Check out the beautiful ladies

Or these crazy guys.

But for sure the awesome bride.

They were really happy together. We hung out and just walked around.

Wedding time. All smiles down the isle.

I was able to move around anywhere I wanted. I caught the best man making sure the rings were okay before they gave them to each other.

And she had a hard time getting the ring to slip on his finger.

And we are married. Probably my favorite... totally natural.

As Buddy on Cake Boss would say "Dis cake turnt out amazing!"

The first dance as husband and wife.

The groom's son dedicated a song by Nickelback to the couple. The groom had to get out with his son and jam some air guitars.

Congratulations to a fantastic couple. I had the greatest time and wish I didn't have to drive back to Gering. I hope you had a great time in Jamaica. Let me know how the golf courses were there.
