Scottsbluff Wedding

So please, click on the photos to enlarge them.

I spent the day with two very awesome people and many of their very awesome family and friends October 10th. I have known almost everyone in the wedding party for years. It's a small area and pretty much everyone went to school together. I was so pumped when they hired us last year and I couldn't wait for the wedding and to get some sweet images.

The bride and groom are some of the most laid back people I know. You can tell how true and full of love their relationship is just by the way they talk with each other. The maid of honor said it best during her toast, that the bride hasn't changed and groom hasn't tried to change her. They are true to each other.

And man was it a party! Everything went smooth except for the damn snow!

When I showed up everyone was pretty much ready to go.

I felt so good about the images when all of the ladies braved the 30 degree temps for photos. The light was great along this hallway.

So was the bride:

Together:

Check em out rocking it!

The party started early. The guys snuffed out the drinks from the brides father's truck.

So this sequence will be a story to remember. Can you spot the cone?

Plus, this goes to show I prefer to shoot, then ask later. Kind of my philosophy :). We were in the street while a police officer happen to stop by. He wanted to pick up the cone, but also let us know it was a safety hazard to be in the street. Bummer.

Fast forward. You could literally feel how her father was feeling walking down the isle.

Talk about a big rock. The mother of the bride was the priest at the church. So she had a special sermon to the bride and groom and incorporated the rings. It was so true and touching.

And were married!

We made a quick stop at Monument Shadows DURING the snow. But they made for some great images.

They had bobble heads for their cake topper. Nice!

They also had a live band. In fact, it was one of the groomsman's band.

Their first dance as husband and wife.

Such an awesome day. Im so thankful I was able to captured their wedding day. Congrats guys!

Senior - Gering Nebraska

i photographed this early last week and it was a blast. But, I didn't expect any less because she is my cousin. And we captured some awesome images.

This week will be so busy. Kat is out of the office until her son can recover from the H1N1. Our wishes and thoughts go to her right now. Im gonna keep this short so I can get back to hammering out some photos.

So the Huskers lost this weekend. Total bummer. They didn't execute offense. Do we need a change in some play calling and quarterback? I can only hope they can rebound and finish strong in the conference.

Senior - 2nd shoot

This senior from Scottsbluff had a second shoot last week. The weather has been forcing us to stay indoors.

And check out this shot I came across when editing my wedding.

I should have more to show later this week. But let me get the predesign out of the way.

Senior - Mixed

We have two separate seniors to share today. Ken has been photographing seniors like crazy the past few weeks. Seems like we are having more book later.

This reminds me, any senior that has not chosen your yearbook photo please do so ASAP. We are fast approaching the deadline and it would really suck if you did not get in the yearbook.

Great time for family photos

Thats right, bring your family in for a family session. Even if you do not want the entire gang, bring your kids in for a short session. That's what they did. It makes for a great holiday gift or card.

Boy was it a great weekend. Not only did we have 2 weddings, the duck hunting was awesome. You can check out some photos from our opening weekend hunt by visiting my facebook. You might have to add me as a friend.

So, that means wedding photos to come. Plus tons of more seniors to share. Another week full of photos :).

October 3, 2009 - Scottsbluff Nebraska

Compared to the last few days, Saturday was a scorcher. Not only was the day perfect for a wedding, the weather was beautifully warm, yet cool enough to feel refreshed. I was lucky enough to spend the day with a blessed couple. All day I was reminded how family was such an important part of your life. This family was filled with uncles, aunts, cousins and Godparents that made this day super special for the bride and groom.

And to top it off, they had one awesome wedding coordinator. Even though I asked during the reception, I am still not sure she is on the market for everyone. Lets hope Danielle is!

On with the photos....

So beautiful...

yet fashionably fun!

The Groom chillin in some nice light.

And there is no wedding without fabulous bridesmaids right?

They chose not to see each other until after the ceremony.

The groom patiently waited while the bride walked down the isle with her father.

And their married! Afterwards we made a quick stop at one of our awesome locations!

Man, look how happy they are together.

Danielle headed up a decoration job at the Civic Center that was amazing.

The groom and best man has known each other and worked with each other for a while now. He made a very heart felt toast.

Nothing better than capturing a moment like this during the father-bride dance.

A huge congrats to the couple! Im excited to show the rest of the photos and book when they get back from their honeymoon.

Lets have a great weekend! Duck season opens tomorrow plus I will be photographing another fabulous wedding tomorrow so Im sure the weekend will be awesome.

Family - Scottsbluff Nebraska

Im about 2 weeks behind because I remember photographing this family when it was pretty nice outside. We were out of the office yesterday photographing at Gering High School, then had a few seniors in the afternoon. I had a great shoot out at the badlands while Ken photographed another senior around some nice fall colors. Photos to come soon.

But first....

The session took place in Scottsbluff even though they live in Brighton Colorado. I was pretty excited when asked to photograph them because their little girls is such a doll!

We just walked around behind the zoo and let her do her thing.

We finally made it to the new park, which is awesome by the way. I like this image the best.

It's duck hunting weather today! Too bad I have to wait 2 more days.

Senior - Gering Nebraska

Ken photographed this senior a week ago. We photographed is brother a few years back. Man how we love returning clients. And the cool thing is, we do not do the same thing we did for his brother. Ken is awesome capturing who you really are.

I photographed a wedding last Saturday. It was off the hook! Photos coming soon so make sure to stop back.

Finally catching up!

Have another senior for your viewing pleasure. Man it has been a long week and we are kicking butt! Ken photographed her last week as well. We had seniors in between schools and traveling to Morrill. I think we officially past the wedding posts with all of these seniors :). Hmm, wonder what's more popular... seniors or weddings?

I will be photographing a wedding this weekend. Im pretty excited because there is nice light all around the church. Cross your fingers for me for the weather to be nice.
