Having fun in the leaves

A while back Ken photographed a family at their house. We had a relaxed approach and let the kids do their thing.

Meet the family:

And the awesome kids:

You know that wouldnt last long. The little one just had to blast his older sister with a face full of leaves :)

Now its my turn!

These are always the best sessions. People always relax in their own environment. Spectrum is always willing to photograph anywhere, even your home!

Great news!

Spectrum Photographics has teamed up with Memories N Motion to offer, as an add-on to our current packages, video coverage for wedding! Aaron does an amazing job at video and editing.

Check out his website. He has helped us out when things are hectic around here. Plus he is working on several commercial projects :).

Also, Ken is back in the office after a very overdue vacation. I will have him blog about his trip to Cancun later this week. But for now, you will have to settle for this random photo of the Grand Canyon:

Just a reminder

First off, I apologize for not keeping up here. The studio was open 1 day last week and everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We have several new things to blog about, and I should get that out this coming week.

But for now, as a reminder to all of our clients, Christmas orders should be placed by December 5th! Our lab offers a great turn around time, however in order to process your order we need some time. Any special requestions (a new word I came up with ;). Its a mix of requests and questions) please contact nate@spectrumphoto.com.

Here is one sample of our many holiday cards:

Do not delay. Photos make a great present for bridesmaids, family and friends.

Oh, and check out this awesome photo from our new 1.8 lens (click on the photo). Im so drooling...

#80 - NICE!!!

So hawt! I have been drooling over the 85 1.2 or 1.8 for a while now. I think the only reason why Ken got this is because he was tired of me drooling on my desk lol!

Took it out for just one photo because it is COLD outside. We had a nice little snow last night.

Everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Ken, Jeanne, Kat and I have so many things we are thankful for. We treat all of our clients, customers and everyone that has worked with us as friends. Thank you for allowing Spectrum to be a part of your lives.

We will be closed until next Tuesday. Ken will return from Mexico and will photograph on Saturdays by appointment only! If you need anything please leave us a voice message or email nate@spectrumphoto.com.

:)

November 10, 2007

Gering, Nebraska:

It was a beautiful day! Nate (me) headed to a wedding at Central Church of Christ. Even though it was the opening day of deer & goose season, everyone was able to attend. The brides father was decked out in camo tux instead of scent lock.

The bride booked us just a few months ago after talking to one of my July brides (thanks Lauren!). About two weeks before the wedding I realized I know the groom from high school! It was somewhat of a reunion and so awesome to hear he is doing so well.

Enough typing...
Some details:

While I was working it with the shoes, these two sweeties came up and said "take a picture of my shoes". They were so much fun throughout the day:

The bride engraved the inside of the grooms ring. It was quite awesome:

The groom:

Levi, the grooms brother tried to get his hand into the mix. I love how just his finger is showing!

The guys:

The bride. The second shot is right before the ceremony. She and her father were having a moment together. She read her vows before hand. They chose a section from Ruth as their vows. I was moved...

The best man Levi (left):

He is also a firefighter with the city of Gering. A bit green though, he knows how to get the job done. Side note, he was a part of the first team that went into the Irwins Menagerie fire a month or so ago. Tom and I were part of the RIC and headed in after the very first group. Levi... your such a stud brother!

Its official!

The bride and groom:

We were running out of light fast! Thankfully it was a short drive across the bridge to capture the above photo.
Congrats guys! Have a great honeymoon!

Remember those rocks I mentioned back in July?

Yea, here is Chimney Rock again. Ken was around Bridgeport photographing a senior when the light was just too good. He captured these below:

I will make it priority to throw up a few other "famous Western Nebraska Rocks" next week.

Check back tomorrow for a crazy wedding in Gering. Nate will be out chillin with a bride and groom. Jeanne and Kat are taking the weekend off while Ken will be in the studio in the morning to take care of business :).

One senior this week

****ATTENTION ALL SENIORS**** We need you to choose which photo you want for the yearbook. Choose which one you want before Wednesday, November 14th. Call Jeanne or email us your pose number. For GHS and SHS students, remember we need a head and shoulder photo. No hands!!!

We had one senior this week. Finally a bit of down time to finish several projects. Since we had one senior, we will show a few photos from her sitting (instead of just one). The first one is mine and Kat's favorite. Go Ken!:

Seniors of the week!

It has been a super busy week for us. This week has gone by so fast, I cannot believe its been a week since my last entry. I will make sure we get everyone updated more than once a week.
